Credit Crunch EXPLORED

Hey flickr world! Yet again i've been lazy on the whole uploading photo's thing so I apologise to those who keep asking me to put more stuff on here! On note of those people, I would like to take a second to thank all the kind messages i've been receiving to my inbox. Slowly my work is starting to get recognised on here and well it's thanks to you guys I feel like i'm really maturing as a photographer! I'm always down to answer questions and help out wherever possible so don't be afraid to ask - I'm just as hungry to learn as you all are (don't forget i've only been taking pictures for a year!) so yeah well in summary you all rule and I hope to rule one day soon to :D On one last note before I tuck into this picture, I'd like to thank a photographer that many of you probably know - 'Julian Dufort' - Me and Julian had a brief chat last night and well he really got me thinking on where I'm going as a photographer, he blessed me with a great deal of insight and knowledge, so I feel I owe it to him to at least mention the great man that he is! So yeah all of you guys can go run to his website! Finally... The photo! So this image is based on the credit crunch. It's apart of my A level coursework and is possibly the last picture to go in my folder (Yay!) The theme behind the picture was to have a somewhat 'high flying businessman' resembling character, captured in the emotional prospect of losing everything due to the thousands of cut backs many companies had to make during this tough financial period. The nakedness is merely a resemblance to the status that has been stripped of him. I felt taking this picture in a laundrette was the perfect way of magnifying the idea I was trying to convey, as it can be interpreted in the sense that he's lost everything (has a little amount of clothes) or in a more conceptual sense in that he's trying to 'wash' his emotions away. Haha you know what, it's really hard to write how what this picture means to me, maybe it's just easier to let you guys make your own story behind it so I think i'll bring this extremely long description to a close. Catch you all soon & wish me luck for all my university interviews! (nervous mo!) PEACE! oh and here's an 'incredibly detailed strobist info' for you guys and the obtuse dude who keeps moving my photo from the strobist pool... sb-900, approximately 65 cm's behind camera right, diffused through softbox. the flash had 4 duracell ultra batteries inside it just incase you strobist guys wanted to know what powered it (you know its all about being detailed isn't it? saying sb-900 - stupidly diffused just was to easy to say)
